Red Oolong 30g
A deeply oxidized oolong glowing amber in the cup. Master Zhan’s charcoal roast draws out honeyed stone fruit, roasted cane sugar, a touch of cacao husk, and toasted grain. The tea was selected for its highly distinctive minerality — among the best red oolongs available in Taiwan.
Red oolong is a relatively new style of tea, developed in Taitung County, Taiwan, in the early 2000s. Taiwan is a world leader in creating new and innovative teas, demonstrating the remarkable versatility and potential of the tea plant, and showing that entirely new categories of tea can still be invented today. Red oolong bridges the gap between traditional rolled-style oolongs and black tea, combining the best qualities of both.
Full, resonant, and persistent through many infusions, it’s a tea that reveals layer after layer of honeyed warmth and roasted sweetness.
