Kuki Hojicha 80g
Roasted and delightfully comforting, hojicha is a daily tea for millions across Japan. Our Kagoshima hojicha is crafted from the delicate stems and veins of first-harvest tencha — the same leaf used to create our beloved Karakuni matcha. Shaded for three weeks before harvest, these leaves develop a rich umami depth, which is then enhanced through a satisfying medium roast.
The result is a complex, toasty infusion with deep aromas of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, burnt sugar, and aged rum. Naturally low in caffeine, the roasting process makes it even gentler — perfect with meals or as a cozy evening tea. With diverse roasting styles across Japan’s tea regions, hojicha remains endlessly fascinating yet always soothing. Deeply satisfying, healthy, and accessible, it’s one of life’s quiet luxuries — a true gift to humanity.
