Do you savor exceptional wines, relish the nuances of gourmet coffee, or appreciate a fine scotch? If this sounds like you, prepare for a deep journey into the world of Taiwanese tea.
Freshly returned from a sourcing trip to Taiwan, we will feature teas specially selected for this workshop. The focus is on some of the island’s most expressive oolongs and distinctive black teas. We will explore the artistry of Taiwan’s finest tea makers, from highly aromatic high-mountain teas to the traditional craft of charcoal roasting over longan wood. As a special highlight, we will share teas from a Buddhist monk and master black tea maker from Hualien.
